The Harry Potter Collection for Playstation 2 was released in 2007 with 3 games, they are 'chamber of secrets, goblet of fire and prisoner of azkhaban'. Today I got a copy of the 3 game collection and wondered why HPs 'sorcereor stone' wasn't included. But I was thinking, if they wanted a complete collection why not include it. Maybe there are reasons as to why they did not re-release it, if you know why please leave a comment.
Now this IS the first time I played any Harry Potter game on the Playstation 2 (ps2) game console system. I also currently have in my possesion the Harry Potter PC game collection which does have 'sorcerer stone' included and I made a video on youtube about it.
So lets get to the 'chamber of secrets' game for ps2, one big difference between the ps2 game and the pc version is its completely different! I thought It would've been the same , but its not. I wonder why. So anyway I included a video of the ps2 , you could take a look at it and see its not the same. Maybe it was made differently, one for a keyboard layout and another for a ps2 joystick layout. To me it was easier playing the pc version as the characters were easier to move around, the joystick kinda felt funny and somewhat weird moving him around with a joystick. The graphics believe it or not, was better with the pc version than with the ps2 version. Even the graphics of the 'sorcerer stone' for pc was much better than both the ps1 or ps2 versions.
All in all, I'm still happy with the ps2 version despite this, and plan on opening up the others as soon as I'm finished playing this one. Its a cool collection, I'll also give you the lowdown on the 'Grand theft Auto Trilogy' collection as soon as that arrives in the mail, so get the hp collection for ps2 while it lasts, since the pc version has gone up in price dramatically, I would invest for the cool gaming ( alittle old school but still) and great re-sell potential.
