The Sanyo VPC-E760 might be cheap but it delivers the goods

I recently came across an old brand that these days are more closely assocaited with Sprint than with gadgets or even consumer electronics. Yes Sanyo did make alot of stuff like stereo systems and microwaves in the 80s, and probably continue to do so, but its their new gadgets that's giving Sanyo a comeback in the name brand field.

So was looking for a decent good but cheap digital camera and came across one that had features on more expensive cameras so I bought the Sanyo vpc-e760 digital camera from a well known online store for about $106.00 and even did a youtube video about it, where I unbox the camera. The good thing about this camera is it comes with a lithium ion battery. Yes there are pros and cons with using a lithium ion battery in a digital camera. This is the main reason why I chose the vpc-e760 from Sanyo, instead of one which uses AA or AA rechargeable nimh batteries. The lithium ion battery that it came with lasted for a whole week and even more without needing to be charged, thats the great thing about using lithion ions in a digital camera. They keep their charge for a very long time. The camera also had a 2.5" tft lcd in the back which is about average for a 7.1 megapixel camera these days. Yes this is a 7.1megapixel camera, I know I could of gotten the 8.1 megapixel from Nikon and that even had a 3" lcd screen in the back for just a couple bucks more, but the bad thing about that one was it used AA. Which was a bummer, and it was also thicker since it does use the AA battery.

The Sanyo vpc-e760 is just a bit slimmer not much, and has a wide feature content including movie mode, now how cool is that? Up until now I've been using my flip video camera (or camcorder), the one I got at a well known national drug store for about the same price as the Sanyo and doesn't even come close to the features that come with the vcp-e760. Now I said it had movie mode, it has 2 movie modes a higher quality and a lower quality setting 640x480 and 320x240. Both qualities come out good, and obviously the 640x480 is better. Here is a rundown of some of the features that come with this cool camera:

digital anti blur
7.1 megapixel
3x optical zoom
4x digital zoom
2.5" large lcd
1000 iso
Face detection technology (found in most newer 2008 cameras)
Accepts SDHC cards as well as standard SD (a 4gb sdhc card in 640 mode gives about an hour of HQ video, 2 hours in 320 mode, this camera can use up to 8gb)
32mb memory built in
1/2.5" ccd
and ofcourse many other features including the standard stuff like macro mode, flash, red eye reduction, usb connection, cd software etc.

Vinyl Records are a hot niche item

You see them all over the place, and I don't think vinyl records are going anywhere, and it seems that it could last longer than the compact disc (CD) itself, which seems to be fading away as mp3s and downloadable content replace the CD as CD sales drop considerably.

While its true that more people continue to buy CDs than vinyl records, vinyl records continue to stand the test of time. Its 2008 and as of this post and I just bought Mariah Carey's E=mc2 LP from an online record store on vinyl!!, and I also got 2 different 12" singles from her album , 'Touch my body' (domestic 12") and a 'Touch my body' a 12" UK vinyl picture disc from 2 other online record shops. These I add to my 10 crates of vinyl 12" singles and LP albums.

Vinyl records continue to be a hot niche item and people are buying more turntables to either convert their old vinyl to mp3s or cdrs, or just to casual listen to those yesteryear vibes. Right now, I'm not converting anything to cdr, and just listening to it straight using my Audio Technica AT-PL120 direct drive turntable with a standard AT 3600 stylus. Sounds oh so sweet, nothing better than an analog sound

Why I Eat alot of Sardines and you should too

I went to Kmart the other day and since its the only place I can find Brunswick brand Sardines in olive oil, I grabbed some 10 cans and put it my cart , I went home and the first thing I did was open a can and had my delicious fish finger food, Sardines in olive oil.

Now why would I do such a thing? Well it taste good, yes some brands taste better than others and some taste like its been sitting their for ages. The deal is buying the right brand, and I noticed that brands of sardines that were imported from Canada , Morocco, Spain and Europe taste much better than those imported from Asia.

Sardines and other fatty fish contain Omega 3 fatty acids and one can of Sardines and many fish like red salmon contain lots of it. Yes Sardines and other fatty fish are both delicious and nutricious! Omega 3 fatty acid from fatty fish or in some cases from fish oil, are nutrients that are good for the heart, brain and eyesight. Omega 3 can protect you from sudden death, depression and save you from having macular degeneration or atleast slows the process down a whole lot.

People who ate "good" oily fish one to four times a week reduced their risk of an abnormal heartbeat called atrial fibrillation by nearly a third. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an abnormal heart rhythm in which the upper two chambers of the heart beat faster than normal. These are found mainly in oily fish , not only sardines but fish such as herring, kippers, mackerel, pilchards, salmon, fresh tuna, trout and anchovies. They are also found in green leafy vegetables. Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to reduce the stickiness of the blood, making it less likely to clot, and prevent the heart from beating irregularly.

I also noticed by eating more fatty fish such as my favorite Sardines, my heart isn't having palpitations as it used to, so that is always a good thing, these palpitations can be life threatening so in the end eat your fatty fish, especially if you eat alot of other things that aren't good for you , this may actually help keep you alive.
